tips for the tour guide.

Our tour gonna start by exploring one of the most Instagrammed places in the World- village Oia.

Oia is located on north-west side of Santorini (officially known as Thera), around 12 km from the island capital, Fira (Thera) in the Cycladic archipelago, Greece.  It is approximately 150 meters above sea level. At the edge of the Caldera cliffs, Oia has a panoramic view across the caldera towards the volcano, Thirassia, and almost the entire island.

Oia is the most beautiful village of Santorini, best Instagram spot and mostly known as its magical sunsets, and most famous Blue Domes (Anastasi Church).

In this village, we gonna visit ruins of the Venetian castle of Agios Nikolaos. Although, not much remains of the castle, but it is still one of the most popular and most crowded places to watch the famous Santorini sunset.

Castle was built in the late 15th century (the first written mention of it dates back to 1480). It was built by Venetians. The building suffered severely in the earthquake of 1956, when most of the castle collapsed into the sea. Currently, only the tower remained from the castle.

From the castle there is a beautiful view of the entire caldera and the archipelago of the Santorini island.

Also, here you gonna find luxury fashion and jewelry boutiques. Free time for shopping is included.

After spending some time in Oia, our next destination gonna be Firostefani. The name “Firostefani” (Fira + Stefani, meaning crown in Greek) derives from its position on the highest part of Fira (capital of Santorini). Its gifted location on the caldera, on the north part of the island makes it a remarkable site. In this village we gonna step by to famous Three Bells of Fira- Virgin Mary Catholic Church. The current church was built in 1757, and then refurbished and expanded multiple times over the centuries. The structure was heavily damaged in the 1956 Amorgos earthquake, after which the building was restored.
